JOBS 1: Farm Kitchen Helper

Our farm kitchen prepares fresh, seasonal foods for our farmstand and café, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Helper to assist with daily kitchen operations. This entry-level position is ideal for students or individuals interested in gaining experience in a commercial kitchen. The work schedule is up to 5 days per week, based on your desired work hours, including weekends as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Food Prep Support: Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and packaging prepared foods for resale.
  • Restocking & Organization: Help maintain kitchen supplies and ingredients inventory, ensuring workstations are stocked and organized.
  • Dishwashing & Cleaning: Wash dishes, clean equipment, and follow food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean workspace.
  • General Assistance: Support kitchen staff with additional tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • No experience required – just a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for a shift.

COMPENSATION

The Kitchen Helper position is part-time and seasonal. Benefits include paid sick leave, fresh produce, and a 20% discount at our farmstand. Pay is $15/hr. The ability to work the full season is a plus.

JOB 2: Seasonal Ag Worker 2025

2025 Seasonal Agricultural Employment

Seneca Foods Corporation in HancockWI, is currently seeking seasonal agricultural workers for its 2024 production season:

  • Peas – mid-June through late July
  • Farm – April through mid-November

• Corn – late July through mid-October

This tentative timeframe can be affected by the weather and crop availability. Seneca provides safe working conditions, paid overtime over 40 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and on-the-job training.


• Harvest Operator: Operate pea combine and/or corn harvester to pick the crop and assist with minor machine repairs, adjustments, maintenance, and sanitation.
• Crop Sampler: Accurately and timely collect 15- to 20-pound samples of peas and/or corn.
• Pre-grade/Raw Product Grading: Process pea and/or corn samples at the manufacturing plant location after samples are taken from the fields.
• Truck Router/Flow Control: Dispatch trucks and schedule loads to the manufacturing plant to ensure timely processing of peas and corn.

  • Farm Worker: Operate Farm Equipment to plant beans, peas, and sweet corn. Includes positions for General Farm Labor (tillage and irrigation), Crop scout,s and Pre-grade

  • Work in a safe and responsible manner

Responsibilities:

  • Perform lawn care maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
  • Install and maintain various landscaping elements such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscaping features.

JOB 4: Dairy Farm Hand

Jarden Farms is a family-owned and managed dairy farm in Bunker Hill, IL. We strive for excellence in cow care, milk quality, and land and environmental stewardship.

Do you thrive in a fast-paced team setting? Are you ready to help produce milk that wins awards for its quality? Do you have what it takes to work with large animals? We are looking for new full-time and part-time members for our team in the milking parlor:

This is a fast-paced, team environment. Learn to prep cows and attach milking machines, maintain and clean milking equipment, herd the cows to and from the milking barn.

You will be milking cows and performing associated tasks in a modern milking facility. We offer merit-based pay increases, 3rd shift differential pay, incentive pay, and a drug-free workplace. No experience is necessary; we will train you.

Shifts start at 5:30AM, 1:30PM, 9:30PM and last about 6 hours. We prefer our team to rotate between all shifts, but will work to optimize scheduling. We will work with most college schedules, and high school coop programs.

Generally, you must be available for at least 4 shifts per week for part-time work (25-30 hours per week) and have open availability for full-time work (40-45 hours per week). Our team normally works at least 1 day per weekend and shares holiday responsibilities.

JOB 5: Dairy Staff – Hiring summer help at Dairy Barn

Hiring part-time and full-time summer help to assist at the Dairy Barn on campus at Delaware Valley University. This individual will work directly alongside our student staff currently employed at the Diary Barn and assist in the care of dairy animals for day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to mixing rations and feeding animals, running a skidloader, milking cows, cleaning stalls, and feeding milk to calves. No experience required (we are always willing to train hard workers).

Applicants should:

  • have flexible availability for AM/PM shifts, during the week, and on weekends
  • have reliable transportation and live a reasonable distance from the university (Doylestown, PA)
  • be hard-working and a good team player
  • be able to follow instructions with ease and communicate well with others
  • be 18 or older

Hours: 20-35 hours/week—We have three scheduled shifts per day: 3:45 a.m. to 7 a.m., a two-hour mid-day shift, and 2 PM to 6 PM, with the opportunity to work more hours outside of shift times.
