About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Beef Cattle Farm Worker to carry out a range of duties associated with the care and maintenance of beef cattle. The role supports daily farm operations including feeding, mustering, monitoring cattle health, assisting with calving and calf care, and maintaining fences, yards and farm equipment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist with maintaining cattle health and welfare through regular farm checks, inspections and reporting on cattle condition.
- Supply cattle with feed and water and assist with implementing feeding and welfare programs.
- Assist with calving and the care and rearing of calves.
- Establish and maintain pastures and crops to support cattle feeding and production.
- Muster and move cattle to grazing areas, yards and other locations for routine farm activities.
- Assist with cattle care tasks, including calf marking, identification, vaccinations, parasite treatments and hoof care.
- Cary out general farm maintenance, including constructing and repairing fences, cleaning cattle yards and shelters, and maintaining other farm infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, water supply equipment and irrigation systems.
- Use farm technology and data collection systems to record livestock and operational information.
- Prepare, organise and store cattle feed, bedding and livestock handling equipment.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience working with beef cattle and carrying out general farm duties.
- Confidence in handling cattle safely and calmly.
- Practical skills in operating farm machinery and maintaining fences and equipment.
- Ability to carry out physical duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to follow instructions and comply with farm safety and animal welfare procedures.
- Relevant agricultural qualifications are desirable.

Pay: $71,481.00 – $80,000.00 per year
